911 World Premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show

The new Porsche 911 Carrera rejoices its world debut at the 2011 Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) Frankfurt Motor Show.

It is expected that the official North American debut will be held at the upcoming Porsche Rennsport Reunion in October followed by the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

The first new 911 models will arrive in U.S. by the beginning of 2012.

The new car has a longer steering wheel base, but is both lower and lighter than its predecessor.

The new 911 Carrera is designed with two engine sizes
¤ 3.4-liter, 350hp six-cylinder boxer engine

¤ 3.8-liter, 400hp six-cylinder boxer powerplant
Optional PDK transmission is available for both Carrera and Carrera S engines.
